I’m going to London to speak! I will be doing a 1-Day Author’s Workshop in London on Saturday, December 1. This event is designed for Executives, Entrepreneurs, Business and Sales Professionals, Coaches, Consultants and Trainers who want to write a book and have it published. In this fast-paced, content-rich workshop, I will share with you my amazing process for transforming a book idea in your head into a manuscript in your hands. I will also share with you my Author’s Success system and guide you step-by-step through the process, that I have used with over 100 authors, to get your book out of your head! Have you ever thought of being a professional speaker? Many writers are also speakers and at the NSA (National Speakers Association) I have met many speakers who are also writers.
This weekend I attended the Summer Symposium for the NSA - Greater Los Angeles Chapter in Indian Wells, California, a beautiful resort city nestled in the Santa Rosa Mountains a few minutes from Palm Springs. The event was held at the Mira Monte Resort, a beautiful hotel that provided outstanding service and exquisite cuisine. The theme was “From Passion to Prosperity” and that’s exactly what the amazing speakers talked about. They taught us, inspired us, made us laugh and gave us tools and strategies to prosper. This was definitely a 5 Star event. Read more
The Magic of Writing

Gateway Plaza, Manhattan, New York
I recently spent a few days in Manhattan, New York, visiting my dear friend and colleague, Glenn Plaskin. Glenn has an amazing view of the Hudson River and as the sun rose I could see the Statute of Liberty, a shining reminder to me of America. What a spectacular site and an incredible place to live.
Glenn is the author of three books, as well as co-writing a book with a high profile motivational speaker. Each time I visit Glenn I learn more about the art of writing and become inspired to write more. As he described the writing projects he is currently working on and shared his work with me, I was once again amazed by his absolute brilliance. He is truly an artist with words. I asked Glenn, what is your secret? How do you write? I wanted to know how he could simply sit down and create his writing magic. So we talked about writing, I read his writing, we went to Barnes & Noble, where I bought 4 books on writing, and now I find myself wanting to write about writing.
Here’s what Glenn shared with me about creating writing magic: Read more

Seems like my author’s books are popping like popcorn! Here is another newly published author I am delighted to introduce:
John Little, Author of “Creating Your Credit Destiny”. I met John in February this year at an NSA (National Speakers Association) meeting where I was conducting a one-day workshop on how to write a book, this was his first meeting. During the day I asked the audience, if you were to write a book, what would it be about? John admitted that he had never even thought about writing a book. By the end of the day, he had come up with several ideas and signed up for my Author’s Boot Camp to be held in April. Well, here we are, 4 months later and John has a beautiful published book that he is using to promote his business and teach people, young and old, how to create their credit destiny. You can learn more about John’s book at www.JohnA.Little.com.

Congratulations Best Selling Author!

Giving Your Book an Extra Boost with an Author’s Technology
What is an Author’s Technology? This is the system or process you have created for getting the results your book promises. This is your special way of doing things. Your Author’s Technology is your “secret recipe” and what makes you different from everyone else in your genre.
Having an Author’s Technology is a great way to market and promote your book. It gives you the opportunity to showcase your special tools and strategies. I have created four different tools, strategies and events to assist authors write their book. They are:
- Writer’s Power Tools™
- Manuscript Grid™
- Author’s Calendar and Workbook™
- Author’s Boot Camp™
These are all my “author’s technologies”; tools, strategies, processes and techniques I use to create the results I promise: a completed manuscript. I created a “tag line” or name for each of these strategies that I use in my business. What are the benefits of having an Author’s Technology?
On my website, bio, blog and promotional materials I have: “Ann McIndoo, Creator of the Writer’s Power Tools, Manuscript Grid and Author’s Boot Camp”. How does that benefit me and my business?
- Makes me different, sets me apart from others in the same field
- Creates Curiosity
- Lists added benefit(s)
- Increases Perceived Value
- Gives you an edge over your competition

Harbor Front Inn, Greenport, Long Island, New York.
What a beautiful little town, it is absolutely lovely here. I have just finished four Author’s Boot Camps, back to back and it has been an amazing experience. I helped 6 people become authors, including a 17-year young man who is writing his second novel. I worked with:
- Yaa Whitmore, author of “The Life of an NBA Dancer, The Truth Not Seen on the Court”
- Stephan Brouwer, author of “Reflections” (fiction novel)
- Carl Gould, author of “The 7 Stages of Small Business Success: From Startup to Seven Figures in Three Years or Less”
- Dr. Steve Nelliger, author of “Live Long, Look Young”, the first in a series of 8 books
- Chandra and Carl Gould, authors of “Beyond Souldmate - Attracting Your Ultimate Soulmate in 90 Minutes or Less”
- Dr. Russ L’Homme Dieu, who lives here on Long Island, author of “The Truth About the Lies We Tell Ourselves About Weight Loss”
All of these authors talked their books and created their manuscripts in just 1 “talk” day with me. How did they do it? They prepared to write their book.
How did they prepare? Six private coaching sessions with me and then attending my 3-day Author’s Boot Camp or 1 day private talk day.
After working with more than one hundred authors, I can honestly say that writing a non-fiction, business, how-to, leadership, inspirational, motivational, financial, real estate, health, parenting, self-help book can be a very simple process — if you are prepared. Here are the 3 main steps to preparing: Read more
